The object of art, is not the art. Does there exist a universal aesthetic such that the perceiver becomes the thing perceived? If so, there would arise an experience where subject and object collapse. This divisiveness of the subject and the object would be seen as an illusion, just as self is an illusion.
The mind, the wonderful mind, filters and abstracts, focuses and divides -- it creates perceptions and allows the existence of .things. to exists separate from everything else but in relation to everything else; this in turn creates a complicated web of relations; whereas the truth is supremely simple, all things, even the perceptions, are undivided and indivisible, all part of this one moment.
